FEM 4070 – safety has never been so simple!
FLUX was presenting a user-friendly barrel pump motor with a speed control as standard at the Hanover Fair 2008.
The requirements placed on modern pump technology become ever more demanding.
Higher outputs are expected in a shorter time and with less effort. FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH meets the demands of many customers with an innovative development - the Hanover Fair sees the launch of the FLUX FEM 4070 barrel pump motor, a perfect combination of optimum safety and user-friendliness.
One handicap appears time and time again in many activities - we need two pair´s of hands to do all we need to do at the same time and with care. The new FEM 4070 barrel pump motor with fully electronic controls solves this problem with complete elegance. The ergonomically shaped handle and the positions of the rotary switch and the touch-button which controls the speed control allows the pump to be operated safely and simply with one hand. In practical terms this means that with the thumb of one hand the motor can be easily switched on and off and the speed can be controlled by using the "easy control buttons" while keeping a secure hold on the hose and the quick action tab with the other hand. An integral suspension facility ensures that the pump can be used in conjunction with a spring balance or lifting equipment.
Restart protection after a power failure
The FEM 4070 provides a superb level of all-round safety as well as user-friendliness. The motor is fitted with an integral low voltage circuit-breaker and so is prevented from re-starting after a power failure; therefore, it cannot pump liquid in an uncontrolled manner. The electronic overload-protection prevents the motor from overheating.
Motor with a built-in memory
A perfect co-ordination of motor and pump provides the ideal conditions for the conveyance of liquids at all times. The four speed levels allow volumes of 40, 60, 80 or 100% to be set. The motor is designed in such a way that the speed that was last set is repeated the next time the pump is started with the result that the filling process continues at the required flow-rate. Optimal overload protection is guaranteed at all four speeds ranges.
Multiple uses
The new FEM 4070 has a capacity of 500 Watt and can be very easily adapted to fit the various barrel pumps by means of a floating ring seal or used without a seal for mixing and pumping liquids and removing 99.98% of the liquid from a barrel; it can also be fitted to pumps where high levels of hygiene are required. This innovative development can be used with the appropriate pump for low viscosity, low flammability substances in almost all industry sectors. Performance is always perfect.
